We are hiring Part Time METER READERS in your postcode now!

Role: Meter Reader (gas and electricity only) - no experience is required

Do you like working in an active outdoor role? If yes, then this could be the role for you.

As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for collecting data from gas and electricity meters for both commercial and residential properties. You will update meter reads accurately throughout the day on your handheld device, entering details at each location, and providing excellent customer service.

What we offer:

• £12.60 - £13.85 per hour (weekly payment)
• 15-20 hours per week
• Shifts: evenings Monday - Friday (15:00-19:00 or 16:00-20:00) or weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 08:00-17:00)
• Weekly bonus scheme with earnings up to £200
• Overtime rates at manager's discretion
• Business expenses reimbursed at 5 pence per mile
• Company pension enrollment
• No prior experience required

Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
• Physically fit, comfortable with bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, crouching, and walking 3-4 miles daily
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions)
• Access to own vehicle with business insurance
• Customer service experience (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities:

• Retrieving data from water, gas, and electric meters at various sites; full training provided
• Visual inspections of metering equipment
• Conducting Charge Point Surveys
• Working independently with drive and motivation
• Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines

Training:

• One-week training combining classroom and field experience with an experienced meter reader
