Job description

Join us as a Meter Reader at NWG (Northumbrian Water Group)

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team within the Meter Field Services department. This full-time role offers a permanent or fixed-term contract, based in Cramlington, with a salary up to £26,656 depending on experience.

About The Role

• Travel within your dedicated region to undertake timely and accurate cyclical meter readings.
• Interact with customers, answer questions about water consumption, and replace or repair meters as needed.
• Spend most of your time outdoors in all weather conditions, walking, bending, and lifting meter lids.
• Use current technology and systems to communicate and complete work tasks on a handheld device.

About You

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service.
• Self-motivated with the ability to plan your workday and work to targets.
• Physically fit to walk extensively and work outdoors.
• Hold a full valid driving license.
• Comfortable working independently and handling customer interactions professionally.

This role requires a DBS check and adherence to health and safety standards. You will work between 7am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday, with a company van provided.
