Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Entry-Level Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for working with various types of metal materials to create, modify, and repair metal structures and components. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in metal fabrication and possess the ability to obtain a secret clearance. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and grow your career in the metal fabrication industry. Must be willing to travel. First job will be in Clear, Alaska.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine metal fabrication requirements.
  • Select appropriate metal materials and equipment based on project specifications.
  • Cut, shape, and form metal materials using tools such as shears, saws, punches, and drills.
  • Operate manual and automated machinery to assemble and fabricate metal components.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Operate press brakes, laser engravers, waterjet and other metal fabrication equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in metal fabrication techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of various metal types, their characteristics, and appropriate fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of metal fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Ability to operate manual and automated machinery safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy and large metal materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and security screenings as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel.
