Job summary

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP recruitment services, is recruiting for a Molecular Biology Lab Scientist on behalf of a global manufacturing company. This is a fully onsite, 12-month contract in Waltham on the Wolds, starting asap.

The role involves metagenomics workflows, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR and library prep, maintaining ELN records, data presentation to stakeholders, and training other lab staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform established sample preparation, extraction and molecular biology methodologies (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, NGS library prep) to deliver high-quality data.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ELN records following guidelines.
• Assist with validating new methodologies and support development, refinement, and troubleshooting of techniques.
• Provide updates and present data to internal stakeholders.
