Job summary

The Metadata and Discovery Team at the University of Leeds is responsible for cataloguing and ensuring the discoverability of print monographs, e-resources, subscribed content, research outputs and Special Collections. The team also sets and manages access arrangements for e-resources and contributes to projects from cooperative cataloguing to library linked data developments.

• Experience with MARC21, RDA and AACR2.
• Understanding of classification principles.
• Familiar with electronic resources.

Responsibilities

• Catalogue and classify material across print, e-resources, research outputs and Special Collections.
• Check metadata quality and ensure accuracy across databases.
• Manage access to e-resources and respond to enquiries.
• Collaborate with Library colleagues and external bodies.
