Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking a MET Technician / Strip Fitter to join a modern accident repair centre. You will dismantle, repair and reassemble accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications, working alongside panel beaters and painters to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Experience as Bodyshop Technician in a busy accident repair centre.
• Recognised apprenticeship.
• Excellent knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
• Carry out repairs using manufacturer-approved repair methods and the latest equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults where required.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Work efficiently within a busy, fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Work closely with the wider bodyshop team to maintain an efficient repair process.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
