Job summary

AWD online is seeking a skilled MET Technician / Strip Fitter to join a busy accident repair team in Glasgow. You will dismantle, repair and rebuild damaged vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer service.

The role offers full-time, permanent employment with 7:00am-5:30pm hours, on-site parking and a monthly bonus incentive. Training and progression are provided to support your career development.

Qualifications

• Previous MET strip/refit experience required.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and organized.
• Team-oriented with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and strip vehicles for repair.
• Repair damaged chassis and panels.
• Reassemble and rebuild vehicles after repairs.
• Carry out MIG and SPOT welding as required.

MET Technician / Strip Fitter

DUTIES

Your duties as the MET Technician / Strip Fitter include:

• Damage Assessment and Repair Decisions: Assess damage and decide whether panels should be repaired or replaced

• Damaged Panel Removal: Remove damaged panels
• Chassis and Panel Repairs: Repair damaged chassis and panels

• Vehicle Dismantling and Stripping: Dismantle and strip vehicles down
• Vehicle Reassembly and Rebuilding: Reassemble and rebuild vehicles after repairs are complete
• Vehicle Welding: Carry out plastic, MIG and SPOT welding

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a MET strip/refit technician environment
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised
• Supportive and cooperative team approach
• Able to maintain quality under pressure
