HP4 RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking a qualified MET Technician for a full-time, permanent role in Milton Keynes. You will work on mechanical, electrical, and trim tasks within a busy workshop, carrying out strip, fit, diagnostics, and rebuild work to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Qualifications

Experienced MET Technician with strong diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out MET stripping and refitting of vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults related to accident damage.
Remove and refit components to support panel repairs and bodywork restoration.
Complete diagnostics, fault finding, and system checks.
Rebuild vehicles ensuring proper fitment and safety.
Collaborate with panel and paint teams for efficient workflow.
Maintain accurate repair records.

Salary / Hourly Rate: £20 - £23 per hour dependant on experience and qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading name within the automotive accident repair and bodyshop industry, is looking for an experienced MET Technician to join their busy and fast-paced workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MET Technician / Vehicle Technician / Bodyshop Technician who is confident working on the mechanical, electrical, and trim aspects of accident repair and vehicle restoration.

You will play a key role in the repair process, carrying out vehicle strip, fit, diagnostics, and rebuild work to ensure vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out full MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) stripping and refitting of vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults related to accident damage
Remove and refit components to support panel repairs and bodywork restoration
Complete vehicle diagnostics, fault finding, and system checks
Rebuild vehicles ensuring correct fitment and safety standards
Work closely with panel and paint technicians to ensure efficient workflow
Ensure all work meets manufacturer and bodyshop standards
Maintain accurate records of all repair work carried out

About You

Experienced MET Technician, Vehicle Technician, or Bodyshop Technician
Strong background in accident repair, vehicle diagnostics, and mechanical repair
Confident in strip, fit, and rebuild processes
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and fault diagnosis
Ability to work in a fast-paced bodyshop environment
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or MET (desirable but not essential)
