Job description

Our client, the best motor trade employer in the North West, is looking to recruit an experienced MET/Strip Fit Technician for their busy bodyshop in Manchester.

Salary: £39.5k basic, £43k OTE

Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8:30am - 5pm, Sat 8:30am - 12:30pm as and when, as much as you want

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out full vehicle MET Technician work, stripping and re-fitting components to vehicles
2. Individual/Team MET Technician work
3. Complete all MET work to a showroom condition/standard
4. Keep all Company tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition, paying particular attention to the reduction of any fire hazards
5. Maintain good time management and organization
6. Stay up to date with product developments and improvements
7. Attend training courses as necessary

Qualifications:

1. Previous automotive experience in the mechanical, electrical, or trim field
2. IMI, ATA, or Senior ATA qualification preferred but not essential
3. Qualified to NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or ATA qualified with a solid bodyshop background as a MET technician or service technician within a retailer, body repairer, or crash repair centre
