  • Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical trims, panels, and components.
  • Conducting inspections, fault finding, and diagnostics.
  • Performing all MET duties following manufacturer repair methods.

Job description

MET Technician / MET Strip Fitter

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MET Technician, Mechanic, Strip, and Fitter from an accident repair background to join a reputable employer within the accident repair industry.

Our client is known for high-quality repairs and finishes, holding manufacturer approvals from some of the top prestige brands, delivering seamless repairs across the UK.

This role requires an experienced candidate capable of completing all panel repairs on accident-damaged vehicles. Qualifications such as ATA, NVQ Level 3, or IMI Level 3 are advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical trims, panels, and components on vehicles.
  2. Carrying out stripping and rebuilding work professionally, ensuring quality checks are performed according to standards.
  3. Dismantling vehicles for panel work.
  4. Conducting inspections, fault finding, and diagnostics.
  5. Reassembling vehicles with new parts as needed to restore pre-accident condition.
  6. Stripping and fitting components, bodywork, and trim elements.
  7. Performing all MET duties within your scope.
  8. Following manufacturer repair methods to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
  9. Completing jobs within estimated times.
