Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting an experienced MET Technician for a leading Accident and Repair Centre in Falkirk. The role offers a basic salary up to £53,040, with overtime bringing earnings well over £60,000 for capable technicians.

You'll work a 42.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, in a large, reputable bodyshop with strong career prospects. Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical and trim repairs, panel stripping/refitting, using diagnostic tools, and accurate paperwork in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Level 3 MET Technician qualification or equivalent.
• ATA accreditation is beneficial.
• Proven experience in a bodyshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles as MET Technician (mechanical, electrical, trim).
• Strip/refit/replace body panels, bumpers and doors.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and carry out repairs.
• Complete job cards and paperwork accurately.
• Work in a fast-paced bodyshop environment.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Use personal tools for the role.

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced MET Technician for their Accident and Repair Centre located in Falkirk.

Duties:

• Perform vehicle repairs as an MET Technician, including mechanical, electrical, and trim duties
• Strip, refit, and replace body panels, bumpers, and doors
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults efficiently
• Complete job cards and paperwork accurately
• Work within a fast-paced bodyshop environment
• Either work independently or as part of a team to meet repair deadlines
• Use personal tools necessary for the role

Requirements of the MET Technician:

• Level 3 qualification as an MET Technician or Mechanic
• Proven experience working within a bodyshop environment
• ATA accreditation is highly beneficial
• Confident in stripping and refitting body panels, bumpers, and doors
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and carry out repairs
• Capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Reliable and able to complete paperwork accurately
• Must possess the necessary tools for the role
