Job summary

Vertu Accident Repair Centre Truro is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join our growing team and deliver quality mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on state-of-the-art facilities.

The role offers a £35,000 basic salary with OTE up to £50,000, a 42.5-hour week and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your long-term career with Vertu Motors PLC.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a MET Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality repairs
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
• A full UK driving licence
• IMI accreditation or equivalent qualification (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) repair and replacement work
• Removal and refitting of vehicle components
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
• Working to manufacturer, industry and insurance standards
• Ensuring all repairs are completed safely and efficiently within agreed timescales
• Liaising with colleagues to ensure parts are ordered and available when required
• Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Delivering outstanding levels of customer satisfaction through quality repairs

We are investing heavily in our facilities, technology and people. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled MET Technician to join our growing team and work with state-of-the-art equipment, the latest repair technology and manufacturer-approved processes.

We are offering a £35,000 basic salary with an OTE of up to £50,000, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package and a 42.5-hour working week.

About The Role

As a MET Technician, you will play a vital role in the accident repair process, carrying out a wide range of mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to ensure vehicles are returned to customers in pre-accident condition.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) repair and replacement work
• Removal and refitting of vehicle components
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
• Working to manufacturer, industry and insurance standards
• Ensuring all repairs are completed safely and efficiently within agreed timescales

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
