Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Mess Steward for Weeton Barracks, Preston. This role covers laundry, accommodation, mess-room and janitorial services, with a focus on safety and quality. Shifts are 4 hours, 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some weekend availability.

You’ll join a global leader in catering and facilities services with strong training, uniform provided, and on-site parking. Ideal candidates have DBS clearance and legal right to work in the UK; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and/or beverages to customers
• Handle cash and operate the till
• Occasional bar work during shifts
• General housekeeping including kitchen cleaning and dishwashing
• Stock up and rotate stock using FIFO
• Report feedback, stock needs, faults or hazards to the line manager

Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract type:Permanent, Part-Time, 16 hours per week, 4 days out of 7, Mon – Fri, with weekend availability

What you’ll do:

• Serving food and/or beverages to customers.


• Cash handling and till operation.


• Occasional bar work.


• General housekeeping, including kitchen cleaning, pot wash, and dishwashing.


• Stocking up and stock rotation using the FIFO method.


• Report to line manager for any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during your shift.


• Duties may be changed to meet the changing needs and requirements of the company.

• Able to pass security vetting and DBS checks


• Previous experience is great, but not essential – full training provided!
