Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Head Steward to join the team at Gaza Barracks, Catterick Garrison. The role focuses on supervising bar operations during shifts, mixing and serving drinks, and keeping the area clean and stocked.

You will report to the General Manager on site, provide excellent customer service, and support functions. Eligibility to work in the UK and the ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Mess in an operational role.
• Good numerical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and 3+ years residency; DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise services within the Mess operational business area.
• Accountability for the effective supervision and performance of frontline colleagues within the mess, ensuring delivery of steward services to the required standard.
• Assist with function preparation as directed by the mess manager i.e. silver cleaning, dining room layout, napkins etc.
• Completion of company paperwork.
• Cash handling and till operation.
