Job Description:

Description: This role involves working with high-net-worth clients, identifying their needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing suitable investment recommendations. Responsibilities include leveraging technology for business growth, profiling clients to understand their financial resources, building a sustainable book of business, and exploring career growth within the bank. This position requires SAFE Act registration, including background checks and registration compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personalized financial advice through client reviews and presentations, assessing financial goals and recommending strategies.
  2. Communicate suitable solutions for clients' financial needs, including banking, investment, and life solutions.
  3. Partner with Financial Advisor teams to share market insights and promote new products to foster portfolio growth.
  4. Utilize bank resources to benefit clients and prospects.
  5. Develop and grow a client book to meet financial targets and advance your career as an advisor.
  6. Prioritize client requests and coordinate with internal service providers based on client needs.

The Advisor Development Program (ADP) Journey:

This program provides training and mentorship to help you become a successful independent financial advisor, working with both affluent and high-net-worth clients, developing relationship management skills, and preparing for a career within Merrill Wealth Management. Located in a Merrill branch, it offers opportunities to hone your skills and progress to advanced roles.

We’ll help you:

  • Receive training and mentorship from dedicated managers and participate in our Academy for advisor development.
  • Build your network and business through interactions with Merrill advisors, clients, and partners.
  • Deliver confident financial advice and investment strategies to clients.
  • Learn about comprehensive financial solutions to meet client needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Series 7 & 66 licenses (or 63 & 65 in lieu of 66).
  • At least two years in financial services or sales with goal achievement.
  • Minimum of one year in investment-related roles with product knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator.
  • Ability to manage goals, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new information.
  • Attention to regulatory due diligence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven lead generation and partnership skills.
  • Experience in investment management, sales, and client development.
  • Strong computer skills and multitasking ability.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business.
  • Additional designations like CFP or CRPC are a plus.
