Job summary

Merkur Slots UK Limited is hiring a Team Member in Cowley for a 20-hour week. You will help deliver a warm, welcoming gaming experience, ensuring high service standards and brand-aligned customer care. Full training provided to those new to the industry.

You’ll support housekeeping, promotions, and customer interactions, while maintaining presentation standards and safeguarding policies across shifts, including night work where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality or gambling environments.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced venue.
• Flexible, dedicated and reliable behavior.
• Industry/compliance training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high venue housekeeping standards (cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls).
• Conduct service rounds and offer refreshments per brand guidelines.
• Monitor customer behaviour and escalate when appropriate.
• Assist with administration to high accuracy.
• Support smooth promotions and customer journeys.
• Resolve issues, log interactions and uphold brand dress code.
• Ensure product knowledge supports the customer experience.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and discourage harassment.

Duties include but not limited to:

• To ensure that the venue housekeeping is always of the highest possible standard, regularly cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
• To ensure service rounds and refreshments are offered in line with brand guidelines.
• To monitor the actions and behaviour of customers, noting any behaviour considered to be suspicious and/or disruptive to the smooth operation of the venue.
• To assist with any administration as required to 100% accuracy.
• To help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
• To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with company standards and results in "customer satisfaction".
• To own and resolve problems, escalating where appropriate and in accordance with the complaints policy.
• To interact with customers through your shift and intervene as appropriate. Such interactions must be logged in accordance with policies.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation ensuring the brand dress code is always adhered to, whilst on duty.
• Achieve, maintain and impart to customers great product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Gain a good understanding of all company policies and procedures around safeguarding and challenge.
• To actively discourage harassment, victimisation or discrimination against employees, management or customers on the grounds of race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
