Job summary

MERKUR Slots UK Limited is hiring a Supervisor Nights in Leigh to lead venue operations during the night shift. You will manage opening, trading and closing of the venue, supervise staff, and uphold high service standards to ensure a great customer experience.

You will support the venue manager, drive promotions to maximise revenue, supervise cash handling and security procedures, and maintain safety for staff and customers. Training is provided, with strong progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role in gaming, retail or hospitality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience leading and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for opening, trading and closure of the venue.
• Assist the venue manager in day-to-day activities.
• Ensure high housekeeping and interior/exterior standards.
• Establish and maintain customer service standards to maximise revenue.
• Implement marketing/promotional activities to boost revenue.
• Support senior managers to maximise business opportunities.
• Handle cash in a timely and accurate manner following procedures.
• Adhere to all security procedures and conduct random checks of floats/keys.
• Ensure safety of employees and customers at all times.
• Complete daily/weekly administration on schedule and resolve issues with staff.
• Promote a positive working environment and safeguarding measures.

Duties include but not limited to:

• To take full responsibility for the opening, trading and closure of the venue.
• Assisting the venue manager in the day‑to‑day activities of the venue
• Through regular inspection, ensure that interior/exterior standards are maintained at a high level and that all housekeeping standards are adhered to.
• Establish and maintain customer service standards on behalf of the Company and maximise income wherever possible
• To implement appropriate marketing/promotional activities to maximise revenue opportunities.
• To assist the senior managers to maximise business opportunities within the venue.
• To ensure venue cash collections are carried out in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with Company procedures.
• To ensure that all Company security procedures are adhered to by all employees.
• To conduct regular, random checks of floats, keys etc on all employees, taking appropriate action where necessary.
• To always ensure the safety of all employees together with the members of the public visiting the venue.
• Ensure that all daily/weekly/periodical administration is completed at the correct time and to the required standard.
• To deal with the day‑to‑day problems arising from employees within the venue.
• To ensure a good working environment is established
• To promote the company in a positive manner when dealing with internal and external customers or at any other opportunity.
• To actively manage and promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
• To actively discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation or discrimination of any kind against employees, management or customers on the grounds of race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation or any other basis protected by law or prohibited by Company policy.
