Corporate Development Director - Mergers and Acquisitions - up to £140,000 and bonus

The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a leading data services organisation to assist in their search for a Mergers and Acquisitions-focused Corporate Development Director. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement (2 days in London and 3 days remote).

As the Corporate Development Director, you will lead all aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity, driving growth through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Opportunity Identification
  2. Deal Sourcing
  3. Due Diligence (financial, operational, legal, and regulatory aspects)
  4. Negotiation and Deal Structuring
  5. Stakeholder Management
  6. Post-Merger Integration

You will also play a key role in shaping the future direction and competitive position of the organisation, with the autonomy to influence at a senior level.

Requirements for success:

  • Extensive experience in the end-to-end mergers and acquisitions lifecycle, preferably with knowledge of GRC, Training & Education, and Data & Information sectors within Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, FRM, MBA, along with legal or deal experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Proven negotiation skills with experience closing complex deals.
  • Excellent project management skills to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
