Job description

HR Lead for M&A Transactions

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead all HR aspects of M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, integrations, and large-scale people transfers.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing people risks and ensuring smooth execution of transactions in collaboration with Legal, Corporate Finance, and Pensions teams.
  2. Building strong partnerships with internal teams, senior leaders, and external suppliers to influence decisions on employee experience, benefits, and risk management.
  3. Leading and coordinating project teams tailored to each deal's needs.
  4. Providing briefings to senior leaders on complex issues, risks, and opportunities.
  5. Advising business units and HR teams on HR elements of commercial projects and transactions.
  6. Delivering training on HR's role and responsibilities in transactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record advising on and delivering HR elements of major commercial transactions, including M&A activities.
  • Strong understanding of strategic business goals, commercial operations, and people-related risks.
  • Experience leading HR due diligence on large-scale transactions.
  • Ability to deliver complex programmes on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

This role involves high-profile transactions requiring significant capital investment and managing complex legal liabilities. The successful candidate will be a key expert within the bid team, providing critical advice on HR and regulatory complexities.
