The Role of a Merchant Branch Manager

• Experience in construction products/equipment and previous managerial/supervisor roles in builder’s merchants or related businesses.
• Strong commercial acumen with awareness of the current market.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed performance targets, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with a solutions-focused approach.
• Commitment to continuous learning and expanding product expertise.
• Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Highly adaptable, self-motivated, and resourceful.
• Excellent organisational skills, with a talent for balancing workloads and meeting service demands.

What does the Merchant Branch Manager role involve?

• Independently managing the dedicated area within our partnering builder’s merchant, providing expert assistance to customers with hire needs while actively seeking opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with customers to secure repeat business and long-term loyalty.
• Promoting the branch to increase trade sales growth.
• Meeting and exceeding sales targets with a customer-focused approach.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday 7:00 am until 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am until 12:00 pm
(with an extra day off during the week for every 2 Saturday shifts worked).
