About the Role: As a Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for planning and trading departmental sales and markdown budgets, managing stock levels, and delivering a balanced, timely, and commercial range. You'll play a key role in driving profit ahead of sales, while mentoring and developing a high-performing team of Junior and Assistant Merchandisers.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute a robust financial strategy including profit, sales, margin, and promotional planning.

  • Partner with Buying and Design to shape the seasonal strategy, ensuring key looks and high-ranking lines are prioritized.

  • Own departmental stock management, capacity planning, and supplier strategy.

  • Lead event sign-offs and ensure alignment across the George business.

  • Forecast markdown risks, manage OTB, and identify stock opportunities.

  • Inspire and develop your team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and clear development plans.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across the department.
