Job summary

Smiths News in Heywood is seeking an Instore Merchandiser on a flexible part-time contract. You will bring products to life on the shop floor, own your territory, and handle POS placement, stock replenishment and auditing.

You’ll maintain visually impactful displays, build relationships with store staff, and ensure displays stay on-brand while planning cost-efficient visits. Role offers flexible hours (average 5-20 hours/week), with UK driving licence and vehicle use.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Friendly confident personality with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills with high integrity and reliability.
• Located within 15 miles of the advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make right decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory, manage point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays and ensure on-brand presentation.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Keep displays stocked and displays on-brand; plan cost-efficient visits.
• Take ownership of your journey plan and make every store visit count.

Merchandiser – Heywood
Flexible, part time contract
Pay Rate – £14.24 Per hour (includes Holiday Pay)

Travel time and mileage are payable subject to eligibility

Plus: Location Allowance if applicable

Full UK Driving licence plus use of vehicle required.

About the role

As an Instore Merchandiser, you’ll bring products to life out in the world on the shop floor. You’ll own your territory, taking care of point-of-sale placement to stock replenishment and auditing. You’ll take pride in first-class standards, creating and maintaining
visually impactful displays, and building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers. You’ll be the person who
keeps everything in order, ensuring that stock is replenished and that displays stay on-brand. You’ll take charge of your own cost-effective journey plan and make every visit count. If you’re someone who thrives on autonomy and loves to engage with others, this role is for you.
