Job summary

Cosine Group is seeking a field-based merchandising assistant for a seasonal campaign with McCormick Foods. You will visit stores across Plymouth, stock products, and ensure in-store displays meet planograms.

Role requires a full UK driving licence, independent work, and the ability to lift stock throughout the day. Pay is £110 per day plus £10 completion bonus, with a 40-hour week, until 31 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, grocery, or retail is required.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving a company van.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a heavy workload.
• Willing and physically able to lift stock throughout the day.
• Willing to use a smartphone and reporting apps.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores across the Plymouth territory to stock and merchandise Schwartz products.
• Deliver stock from depot to stores and follow back-door processes.
• Ensure planograms are followed and displays look their best.
• Take before/after photos and report activity via an app.
• Lift and move stock as required during the day.

Looking for full-time work through to the end of the year? Join our seasonal merchandising team, working on behalf of McCormick Foods – the makers of well-known Schwartz Herbs & Spices.

Start date: Monday 28th September 2026
Contract: Until 31st December 2026
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay: £110.00 per day + £10.00 per day completion bonus
Benefits: Company van provided + fuel card

What will you be doing?

This is a field-based merchandising role, so you’ll spend your day out on the road, visiting grocery stores across your territory and making sure Schwartz products are fully stocked, correctly merchandised and looking their best.

Your day will include:

• Driving a company van across your territory to visit allocated stores.
• Collecting stock from a nominated depot and delivering it directly to stores.
• Following the correct store back-door and stock delivery processes.
• Replenishing Schwartz Herbs & Spices onto the main fixture.
• Merchandising products accurately to agreed planograms.
• Checking stock levels and reporting any out-of-stock products.
• Making sure secondary displays are fully stocked, tidy and looking great.
• Taking before and after photos of your work.
• Reporting completed activity through an app after each visit.

Please note: This is a physical role involving the regular movement and lifting of stock, so you must be comfortable with heavy lifting throughout the working day.

This role would be a great fit if you:

• Have previous merchandising, grocery or retail experience.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and are confident driving a company van.
• Enjoy being out on the road and working independently.
• Are organised and able to plan and manage a busy workload.
• Are confident using a smartphone and apps to complete reporting.
• Are physically able and willing to move and lift stock throughout the day.
• Have access to a mobile phone and internet connection that you are happy to use for work.
• Can commit to working for the full duration of the seasonal campaign until 31st December 2026.

Briefing: Tuesday 29th September at our Head Office in Stokenchurch
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hours worked between 7am and 7pm
Pay: £110.00 per day + £10.00 per day completion bonus

Business mileage: Covered
