Location: 4 days per week based at our North Acton Office.

Overview

We are looking for a Merchandiser - Childrenswear to plan and deliver profitable, customer focused ranges. Within this role the focus is on providing the recommendations for the right stock at the right time, with the right style and options for the customer while leading, coaching, and mentoring your team.

What You Will Do
  1. Create and develop the product planning strategy for the department.
  2. Create, inform, and influence the range framework to support with achieving margin targets.
  3. Collate and analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks to plan the range architecture.
  4. Review size analysis.
  5. Ensure range appeal across all markets through attribute and pricing architecture.
  6. Optimise/plan/build range size and newness phasing always considering 'think customer first'.
  7. Lead and present financial KPI's, demand phasing and OTB spend.
  8. Collaboratively present buy quantities supported with ROS and hindsight validation.
  9. With PD sign off/plan/review/handover buy quantities core and fabric production forecasts.
  10. Lead and present trade weekly.
  11. Lead trade and optimise sales with agility, identifying risks and opportunities.
  12. Identify daily/weekly/monthly sales, stock and BTA risks and opportunities.
  13. Proactively manage stock risks & opportunities.
  14. WSSI management including monthly reforecasting.
  15. Markdown management including markdown proposals.
  16. Terminal stock management; seek best routes to clear internal & external.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Passionate about a career in merchandising.
  2. Experience as a Junior Merchandiser.
  3. Experience in proactively managing workload, prioritising, and delegating.
  4. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  5. Highly analytical with attention to detail.
  6. Experience of being part of a team and working in a busy environment.
  7. Experience of working cross functionally.
  8. Experience in coaching and mentoring direct line reports.
