Job summary

Smiths News seeks an Instore Merchandiser in Bodmin for a flexible part-time role. You will manage POS placement, stock replenishment, and audits while creating engaging displays. You’ll build strong retailer relationships and plan cost-effective visits to optimise each trip.

Ideal candidates have a friendly, proactive attitude, great communication, and a commitment to excellent customer service. You must live within 15 miles of Bodmin and hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• Located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory on the shop floor, managing point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays that stay on-brand and engaging for shoppers.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers to ensure smooth execution.
• Keep everything in order and plan cost-efficient visits to maximise coverage.

Merchandiser – Bodmin

Flexible, part time contract

Pay Rate – £14.24 Per hour (includes Holiday Pay)

Travel time and mileage are payable subject to eligibility

Plus: Location Allowance if applicable

Full UK Driving licence plus use of vehicle required.

About the role:

As an Instore Merchandiser, you’ll bring products to life out in the world on the shop floor. You’ll own your territory, taking care of point-of-sale placement to stock replenishment and auditing. You’ll take pride in first-class standards, creating and maintaining
visually impactful displays, and building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers. You’ll be the person who
keeps everything in order, ensuring that stock is replenished and that displays stay on-brand. You’ll take charge of your own
cost-effective journey plan and make every visit count. If you’re someone who thrives on autonomy and loves to engage with
others, this role is for you.
