Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment are seeking a commercially driven Merchandiser in Manchester with hybrid working. You will own planning, stock, and supplier relationships within a fast-paced consumer business and report to the Head of Merchandising.

You’ll analyse sales, manage forecasting and bring commercial insight to trading meetings. The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with overseas suppliers, especially across the Far East.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Junior Merchandiser or Merchandiser in a fast-paced retail or consumer business.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyse commercial data.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers, ideally across the Far East.

Responsibilities

• Own the merchandising and planning process across your product area.
• Analyse sales and stock performance, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Manage WSSI, forecasting and stock levels to maximise sales and profitability.
• Review the buy and make recommendations on future stock requirements.
• Lead and contribute to trading meetings and commercial decisions.
• Work closely with suppliers and factories across the Far East.
• Manage critical paths and ensure products are delivered on time.
• Work closely with Buying, Digital, Planning and Supply Chain teams.

Merchandiser | Manchester - Hybrid | £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Merchandiser to join an incredibly successful and fast-paced consumer business.

Reporting directly into the Head of Merchandising, you'll take ownership across your area of the business, managing planning, trading, stock and supplier relationships. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser who enjoys working at pace and wants genuine ownership and influence.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Own the merchandising and planning process across your product area
• Analyse sales and stock performance, identifying opportunities and risks

About You:

• Proven experience as a Junior Merch or Merchandiser within a fast-paced retail or consumer business
• Strong understanding of planning, stock management and trading
• Confident analysing commercial data and turning it into clear actions
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience working with overseas suppliers, ideally across the Far East
• Commercially minded, highly organised and confident working at pace
• Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across the wider business
