Job summary

Success Talent is seeking a Merchandiser in Swansea to lead product ranges and drive commercial performance across licensing and branded lines. You will collaborate with buyers, suppliers, licensors, trade teams and marketing to ensure launches are on time and on brand.

The role requires proven merchandising experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple launches with keen attention to margins and stock. This permanent role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Merchandiser or junior Merchandiser in retail or e-commerce.
• Experience with licensed or branded product and landing key ranges.
• Strong trading of KPIs, cost and margin management, and critical path delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the WSSI to deliver KPIs across sales, margins and stock.
• Manage linecards to maximise sales and healthy stock levels.
• Raise, track and negotiate purchase orders with suppliers.
• Analyse in-season trade, sell-through and forward cover performance.
• Plan markdowns to protect margin and minimise terminal stock.
• Set and deliver departmental strategy across sales, stock and profit.
• Review historical performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Benchmark market, visit stores and provide insights to range development.
• Manage critical paths and intake for smooth product flow.

Our client is a company specialising in Licenced product for the whole family, and we're looking for a Merchandiser who's commercially sharp, highly organised, and passionate about delivering products that customers love.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be at the centre of the product lifecycle, working closely with buyers, suppliers, licensors, trade teams, and marketing to ensure every collection launches on time, on brand, and with strong commercial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning and managing the WSSI to deliver key KPIs across sales, margins, and stock.
• Managing linecards to maximise sales and maintain healthy stock levels.
• Raising, tracking, and negotiating purchase orders with suppliers.
• Analysing in-season trade, sell-through, and forward cover performance.
• Planning markdowns to protect margin and minimise terminal stock.
• Setting and delivering departmental strategy across sales, stock, and profit.
• Reviewing historical performance to identify risks, opportunities, and growth areas.
• Benchmarking the market and visiting stores to spot trends and competitor activity, offering insights to support range development.
• Managing critical paths and intake to ensure smooth product flow.

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a Merchandiser or a strong Junior Merchandiser in retail or e-commerce, ideally with licensed or branded product.
• A track record in trading KPIs, cost and margin management, and critical path delivery.
• Strategic thinking paired with the ability to execute efficiently.
• Exceptional organisation and the ability to manage multiple launches at once.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a solid grasp of sales data.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with product management systems.
