Job description

As our Plant Merchandise Planner, you’ll own the end-to-end supply plan for bedding, houseplants, and outdoor garden favourites. Working closely with the Head of Plant Buying, Myton Commercial plants, plant demand planning, and our growers, you’ll ensure the right plants reach customers at the perfect moment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Plan and control seasonal plant ranges, both indoor and outdoor, UK and international, including finished goods and raw materials at Myton Horticulture sites and supplier locations.
• Collaborate with demand planning and growers to deliver products on time and in full.
• Manage stock, availability, waste/shrink, and markdowns in coordination with internal teams.
• Partner with growers and teams to maintain quality, freshness, and sustainability through to customers.
• Hold regular meetings with growers and suppliers, acting as the main contact for daily order planning.
• Monitor forecasts versus actual orders with demand planning, and review long-term forecasts with growers.
• Set up and monitor supplier KPIs with the Head of Plant Buying.
• Ensure planning administration is accurate, accessible, and clear for the team.

About you

You will have:

• Experience planning live plant or fresh produce categories within retail or wholesale sectors.
• Strong data analysis skills, including sales curves, WSSI/OTB, and root cause analysis.
• Confidence in negotiating to secure availability and value during peak seasons.
• A passion for horticulture and sustainability, inspiring suppliers and teams alike.
