Job summary

Signet Jewelers UK & Ireland is hiring a Merchandise Analyst to join the Merchandising team in a hybrid role. You will analyse product, pricing, promotions, and inventory to shape smarter decisions that drive sales and margin growth.

You will work with senior leaders across Merchandising, Buying, Planning, Allocation and Finance to uncover opportunities and translate data into actionable recommendations that improve business performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail analytics, merchandising or commercial analysis.
• Advanced analytics tools and data interpretation to drive business decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with a proactive, results-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Delivering insightful hindsight, line planning, and in-season performance analysis.
• Identifying opportunities to improve sales, margin, inventory productivity and customer growth.
• Partnering with Merchandising and Buying teams to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analysing market trends, competitor pricing and customer behaviour to drive optimisation opportunities.
• Evaluating promotional performance and recommending ways to maximise ROI.
• Using metrics on customer, inventory and space to influence future merchandising strategies.
• Monitoring market share and identifying growth opportunities.
• Supporting inventory optimisation through data-led recommendations.
• Identifying store clustering and localisation opportunities to enhance performance.
• Producing ad hoc analysis and insights for senior stakeholders.

Working closely with senior leaders across Merchandising, Buying, Planning, Allocation and Finance, you'll play a key role in identifying opportunities that influence critical commercial decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Merchandise Analyst, you'll use advanced analytics and commercial insight to help maximise product performance and unlock growth opportunities across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a commercially curious analyst who combines strong technical capability with the confidence to challenge, influence and recommend change. You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in a retail analytics, merchandising or commercial analysis environment.
• Advanced analytical skills with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Fabric, SQL, Python or similar.
• Excellent Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
• Strong numerical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, results-focused approach and a genuine passion for continuous improvement.
• A strong understanding of retail performance drivers, merchandising principles and commercial decision-making.
