Mercedes Benz Hgv Technician - £15.75ph - £18.25ph – Wellingborough

Clemence Rogers are working exclusively in partnership with Intercounty Truck and Van. Due to sustained growth and a strong order book for the future we are currently recruiting for a HGV technician to work out of their Wellingborough depot.

3. Hourly rate up to £15.75 on days
4. Hourly rate up to £18.25 on nights

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Ensure the most efficient and highest possible standard of mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance and modification of customer vehicles and related ancillary equipment.
2. Responsibility for the safety of the working environment and all colleagues/persons within it.
3. Work as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieves its objectives and targets.
4. Undertake comprehensive and preventative maintenance and repair standards.
5. Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with terms.
6. Deal professionally and proficiently with all enquiries and complete job cards and service sheets in a timely manner.
7. Undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate.

The Person:

1. Experience within a commercial dealer environment working on HGVs.
2. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 is essential.
3. Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives.
4. Safety aware and committed to a right first-time ethos.
5. Experience of working in a fast-paced and demanding customer environment, with a flexible approach towards meeting the needs of the customer.
6. Enthusiastic, with the ability to work on your own initiative, remaining focused and consistent and a ‘can do’ attitude.
7. Demonstrates commercial awareness and has a good understanding and experience of a busy workshop operating environment.
8. HGV Class 1 licence preferred but not essential.
