Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is recruiting a PPM Refrigeration Engineer to join our facilities management team in the London area. You will travel to assigned sites, carrying out planned refrigeration M&E works, with PPM tasks on retail equipment, packs and cold storage. Training will be provided for T&B and related tasks.

Role includes fault finding, maintenance and occasional M&E duties. You’ll work autonomously, delivering high standards, with door-to-door pay and a strong progression path

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• C&G 2079 (FGAS Cat 1) certification.
• NVQ Level 2 Refrigeration.
• CO2 training is desirable.
• Unvented Hot Water knowledge is desirable.
• Good HVAC and plumbing knowledge.
• Experience in a retail environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Travelling to assigned sites to perform planned Refrigeration M&E works.
• PPM tasks on Retail Refrigeration Equipment such as Packs and Cold Storage.
• Some M&E biased tasks; training will be provided.
• Deliver planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair work.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical tasks as required.

• Salary: £38,789 or £43,705 per annum, depending on experience
• No call-out or weekend working
• Door-to-door pay
• 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
• Additional earnings available through enhanced overtime rates
• Up to 4% bonus, subject to achievement of targets
• Van (with option for personal use from day 1) and fuel card

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be out and about on the road travelling to your assigned sites, carrying out planned Refrigeration M&E works. The role includes PPM works to agreed SOP’s on Retail Refrigeration Equipment like Packs and Cold storage, there will be some associated PPM tasks that are M&E Biased so training will be provided. During seasonal PPM freeze times, you will be required to assist the Refrigeration or M&E reactive teams

You’ll enjoy working autonomously, where you will be responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair work. Ideally, you will have the ability to confidently carry out a range of other electrical and mechanical tasks as well.

What We're Looking For

• Full UK Driving License
• C&G 2079 (FGAS Cat 1)
• NVQ level 2 Refrigeration
• CO2 trained (desirable)
• Unvented Hot Water (desirable)
• Good HVAC and plumbing knowledge
• Significant experience ideally gained within a retail environment
• The ability to work unsupervised in a pressurized environment dealing with store teams and members of the public
• An understanding of commercial refrigeration system technologies

• The role will involve working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
