Kier is currently involved in a major energy project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete, bulk earthworks, and infrastructure on one of the UK's largest projects. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MEP Planner to join our team. You will need experience working on large, complex projects like Hinkley. MEP experience, knowledge of the RIBA design process, and management of subcontractor programmes would be advantageous. Primavera and 4D Planning experience are also desirable.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid working is available.

Responsibilities

As Senior MEP Planner, you'll support the Nuclear Major Projects team on a major energy project delivering nuclear-grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure. Experience in installation of mechanical, electrical, and fit-out of RC frame buildings, along with a thorough understanding of the NEC contract environment, is preferred. Management and auditing of subcontractor programmes will be part of your role.

Your day-to-day activities as a Senior MEP Planner will include:

  • Creating programmes from first principles using M&E schedules, drawings, and specifications.
  • Developing an integrated programme from subcontractor programmes.
  • Auditing subcontractor programmes for robustness.
  • Monitoring progress against contract requirements.
  • Analyzing and managing changes according to NEC conditions.

What we are looking for in a Senior MEP Planner:

  • Experience with UK NEC contract planning.
  • Familiarity with reinforced concrete frame building techniques.
  • Experience with Impact/Delay Programmes.
