M&E Quality Assurance (QA) Manager - Landmark Pharmaceutical Facility
Location: Surrey
Salary: £85,000.00 Plus package
Contract: Permanent

An industry-leading M&E contractor, renowned for delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and Europe, is seeking an experienced M&E Quality Assurance Manager to join the delivery team on a flagship pharmaceutical R&D facility.

This is a career-defining opportunity to take ownership of the quality function on a technically challenging, clean-compliant build, ensuring world-class standards across all mechanical and electrical systems.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, you will:

  • Develop and implement project-specific M&E Quality Plans, ITPs, and commissioning checklists.
  • Lead QA/QC inspections and audits across all mechanical and electrical installations.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, statutory regulations, and industry standards (BS, IEC, CIBSE).
  • Manage QA documentation, including NCRs, snagging, test results, and handover packs.
  • Collaborate with consultants, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and non-conformities.
  • Supervise and mentor QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
  • Support commissioning and handover by verifying all inspections, testing, and documentation are complete.
  • Foster a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
About You

Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of building services systems (HVAC, LV/HV electrical systems, fire protection, BMS, etc.).
  • Competent in digital QA platforms (FieldView, Aconex, BIM 360).
