MEP Project Lead for Data Center Build

Job summary

Dragados UK & Ireland seeks an Agent/Project Manager (MEP) to lead end-to-end MEP packages for the Global Switch London South data centre project. You will supervise design development, installation, QA and commissioning, coordinating between construction, design, procurement and commercial teams to meet time, cost and quality targets.

You will manage readiness, permits, risk reporting, and handover, while mentoring the project team and ensuring safety and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering MEP mechanical packages, ideally chilled water systems.
• Experience in delivering MEP project management on construction projects.
• Holds Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent, or relevant amount of experience.
• MIMechE/MIET/MCIOB/MAPM or local equivalent.
• Experience in testing and commissioning phase of MEP systems (FATs, SATs).
• IT skills including BIM and collaboration platforms.
• CSCS card or local equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end MEP package design, installation, QA and commissioning ownership.
• Coordinate between construction, design, procurement and commercial teams.
• Monitor timeframes and budgets; report risks and mitigations.
• Develop readiness plans and obtain permits before starting works.
• Lead and document project changes; facilitate handover and project closeout.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement across design and site delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure client requirements and KPI targets are met.
