At Kier, we're looking for an MEP Project Director to join and operate within our Major Projects sector.

You will lead the delivery of a major construction project in the Life Sciences/Healthcare sector, driving excellence across safety, quality, commercial performance, and team leadership, ensuring every project meets our high standards and client expectations.

Location: Office/Site-based. Likely split between Rushden and London.
Business Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical (Kier Strategic Projects).
Reporting to: Operations Director.
Working Hours: Full-time, Permanent. May require some travel or staying away.

What will you do?

As the MEP Project Director, you will:

  • Lead the design and construction process from concept to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE standards and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Manage project strategy, programme delivery, and stakeholder communication.
  • Oversee commercial performance, cost control, and contract compliance.
  • Develop and empower project teams, ensuring high performance and succession planning.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent Kier professionally.
What do you need?
  • Degree or HND in Construction and professional qualification (or working towards).
  • Exposure to technically challenging sectors is advantageous.
  • CSCS and SMSTS accreditation.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
