MEP Package Manager - projects are based in Elstree/ Twinstead Green/ North London.

Would you like to join one of the UK's Best Big Companies as awarded by Best Companies? Murphy is currently recruiting for a MEP Package Manager to join our Technical Services team. Must have experience working on National Grid projects. Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry. The MEP Package Manager will lead projects, ensuring scope delivery in a safe manner, on time, to quality standards, and meeting financial outcomes. Travel and work across Elstree, Twinstead Green, and North London are expected.

The ideal candidate would lead the delivery of Building Services packages on National Grid projects and provide professional Project Management services to the client. Prior experience on National Grid projects and similar large Building Services projects in the Energy sector is essential.

What you will be doing

  • Manage and oversee projects including Mechanical and Electrical works from preconstruction to final handover.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Manage procurement and tender processes.
  • Review and approve contractor proposals.
  • Ensure construction and installation teams perform according to schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate handover documentation to meet client requirements.
  • Organize team activities pre, during, and post construction, including stakeholder and risk management.
  • Lead on budget and change management.

Who are we looking for

  • Experience in a Project Manager environment.
  • Experience working with National Grid.
  • Experience on complex construction projects, preferably in the Energy sector.
  • Knowledge of NEC Contracts.
  • Leadership experience.
  • The role is site-based with projects in Elstree, Twinstead Green, and North London.
