1st Step Solutions are supporting a building services engineering company with an Operations Manager role based in Grays, Essex. You will oversee multiple MEP projects, ensuring resources, scheduling, budget and quality meet client expectations.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership and practical understanding of project delivery, driving efficiency, reporting and risk management across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior operational roles within MEP/construction.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple MEP projects.
• Ensure resources, labour, materials and subcontractors are properly mobilised.
• Maintain project performance against programme, budget and quality.
• Develop and implement efficient operational processes and reporting.
• Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to protect margins.
• Promote health and safety culture across operations.
