Job summary

Red Rock Consultants Ltd in the West Midlands is recruiting an experienced MEP Engineer to join their specialist engineering team. You will design and develop mechanical, electrical and public health systems using Revit, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring drawings meet project standards.

The role emphasizes applying British Standards and Building Regulations, producing detailed drawings, and supporting projects from concept through delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as MEP Engineer or similar building services role.
• Strong Revit knowledge – essential.
• Good understanding of MEP design principles and building services.
• Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical design approach.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop detailed MEP designs using Revit.
• Prepare and update technical drawings, layouts and design documentation.
• Work across mechanical and electrical building services disciplines.
• Assist with the design and coordination of MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Undertake design coordination and identify potential clashes or issues.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry requirements.
• Support project delivery from initial concept through to construction.
• Attend design and project meetings where required.
• Provide technical support and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.
• Ensure all drawings and documentation are produced accurately and to agreed deadlines.
