Westwood Recruitment is recruiting an experienced MEP Design Operations Manager in the Peterborough area. You will lead day-to-day operational performance, overseeing people, processes, project delivery, quality and commercial outcomes for a growing consultancy.

The role requires a strong technical background in MEP/building services, with Chartered status advantageous. You will guide design teams, maintain quality, and drive efficient delivery across varied sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong background in MEP or building services design.
• Chartered status is advantageous, otherwise equivalent experience considered.
• Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.
• Experience on refurbishment and new-build projects.
• Experience across commercial, hospitality, residential or similar sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations across MEP design and consultancy projects.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth.
• Manage resource planning, workload forecasting and project allocation.
• Ensure consistent delivery standards across engineering and project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline internal processes.
• Oversee delivery of MEP design packages, technical reviews and compliance work.
