A leading engineering consultancy in Acton seeks an experienced MEP design manager to coordinate design deliverables on major rail projects. Responsibilities include managing design compliance, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and supporting detailed design. Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Are you a MEP design manager with experience of working on major rail or large infrastructure projects? You will be joining a role that involves coordinating with the main contractor on large-scale projects. Location: North Acton 3 days a week - 2 from home. Rate: £500-£650 day inside IR35. Contract length: Initial 6 months with a scope of works lasting at least 2 years. This is a great opportunity to work on HS2 and at the start of oncoming MEP fit outs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the management, coordination and assurance of design deliverables for one or more MEP sub-systems (with a focus on Fire, Lifts, EMC and Testing & Commissioning).
  • Coordinate between supply chain designers, main contractor processes and the Design House to secure acceptance for construction.
  • Support live assets through Stage 5 detailed design, ensuring buildable solutions.
  • Lead on design assurance, compliance, RFIs/TQs, IDCs/IDRs and technical interfaces.
  • Provide strong reporting and clear communication to stakeholders.
