Job description

Salter Grange is currently recruiting for an experienced MEP Design Manager for a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering high-quality residential construction projects.

Location: Hounslow, London

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the MEP design process from concept to completion for a residential construction project
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes
4. Manage and coordinate the work of external MEP consultants and contractors
5. Conduct regular design reviews and provide technical guidance to the project team
6. Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation
7. Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of design milestones
8. Identify and mitigate design risks and issues
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the design team

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
2. Proven experience in MEP design management within the residential construction sector
3. Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and codes
4. Excellent project management and organisational skills
5. Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team
6. Proficiency in design software and tools
