Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to support a major construction project in Suffolk. The role involves leading the building services design process, coordinating external consultants, and ensuring timely delivery of design information.

You will liaise with project managers, commercial teams and clients, manage design deliverables, and address design clashes while complying with regulations and project specifications. Immediate start available for a six-month contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP Design Manager or Building Services Design Manager.
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical building services.
• Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Good understanding of construction methodology and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the MEP design process from detailed design through to project completion.
• Coordinate and oversee external MEP design consultants.
• Review and manage design deliverables to ensure milestones are met.
• Liaise with project managers, commercial teams, consultants, subcontractors and the client.
• Identify and resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations, British Standards and project specs.
• Monitor design progress and report on milestones and risks.
• Support the construction team with technical queries during build.
• Maintain design quality, document control and project compliance.
