Position: Associate MEP Cost Manager

Location: London, United Kingdom (Any Location / Hybrid)

Salary: £50-90k DOE / Freelance also considered

Kenton Black International is supporting a leading global consultancy in expanding their UK Cost Management team. We are seeking a degree-qualified MEP Cost Manager to work on high-profile projects across the UK, with a strong focus on consultancy experience and a proven track record in delivering quality MEP cost management, quantity surveying, and scheduling throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities include:

• Pre- and post-contract duties such as cost estimates, RFPs, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
• Conducting feasibility studies and preparing procurement reports.
• Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans.
• Managing tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and contractual documentation.
• Ensuring timely and accurate cost checks and valuations.
• Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting to clients.
• Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
• Managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Performing cost risk analysis, value engineering, and final account negotiations.
• Contributing to the updating of best practices in estimating based on feedback and project learnings.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (essential).
• Consultancy background (essential).
• MRICS qualification (preferable).
• Strong MEP experience (essential).
• Client-facing and stakeholder management skills (preferable).
