Kenton Black International is supporting a leading consultancy in expanding their UK Cost Management team. Currently, there are opportunities for degree-qualified MEP Cost Managers at various levels.

We are interested in candidates with a strong consultancy background and proven experience in delivering high-quality MEP cost management, quantity surveying, or scheduling across the full project lifecycle. Candidates should have strong client-facing skills and a diverse project background, with a preference for major build schemes over civils.

Responsibilities include:

  • Pre- and post-contract duties, including cost estimates, RFPs, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
  • Feasibility studies and procurement reports.
  • Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans.
  • Tendering and procurement activities, managing pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, analysis, reports, and contractual documents.
  • Cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting to clients.
  • Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
  • Managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Performing cost risk analysis, value engineering, and negotiating final accounts.
  • Contributing to updates of estimating best practices.

Ideal candidate:

  • Degree level education, preferably in Quantity Surveying (essential).
  • Experience in a consultancy environment (essential).
  • MRICS qualification (preferable).
  • Strong MEP experience (essential).
