Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London is seeking an experienced MEP Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management activities for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing across varied projects. The role involves developing budgets, cost plans, tendering and post-contract reporting, while coaching junior cost managers within the MEP team.

You will collaborate with clients and contractors, driving value engineering and ensuring budget objectives are met, with a focus on delivering successful programmes.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards.
• Degree or HNC level qualification.
• Ability to manage and prioritise more than one project.
• Experience delivering MEP elements of work for clients.

Responsibilities

• Support feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
• Produce estimates and cost plans, including final cost plans presentation.
• Manage tendering and procurement activities (single-stage and two-stage).
• Manage post-contract cost variations and change control processes.
• Undertake cost checks and valuations and produce monthly post-contract reports.
• Contribute to cost optimisation initiatives and value engineering.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and stakeholders across all project stages.
