Job summary

Mace is seeking an Associate Director with an MEP background to deliver full-cycle cost management for large, complex commissions in manufacturing and technology, including data centres. You will lead feasibility studies, cost plans, procurement, value engineering and lifecycle costing, while managing client relationships and a high-performing team.

Based in the Greater London area with hybrid working, the role offers opportunities to develop business in the region and to drive project delivery

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, sustainability tech and modern construction methods.
• Experience in the manufacturing and technology sector including data centres.
• Track record of winning and delivering work for private and public sector clients.
• Knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.
• Negotiation, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, business cases and procurement reports.
• Apply value management at project outset and manage cost planning.
• Oversee procurement, prequalification, inquiry, analysis, selection and contract prep.
• Ensure post-contract cost variances and change control are managed.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to client.
• Lead meetings, participate actively, and interface with client and consultants.
• Support marketing, business development and recruitment in the sector.
