Key Requirements:

  • Experience as an ex-tradesperson (electrical or plumbing), Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • Previous role as a site chargehand or section foreman
  • Knowledge of QA/QC processes, Electrical or Mechanical Commissioning, and Health & Safety risks
  • Ability to chair site MEP meetings confidently

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior MEP Manager, Europe, your main responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with design teams and MEP sub-contractors
  • Ensuring MEP sub-contractors receive necessary information to proceed with installations according to schedule
  • Organizing and chairing weekly coordination meetings with sub-contractors and design teams
  • Ensuring production of coordinated MEP drawings, progress reports, and RFIs
  • Attending project team meetings as needed
  • Tracking MEP sub-contractor progress and reporting variances
  • Liaising with utility providers for power, gas, and telecommunication connections
  • Providing up-to-date MEP development information to the project team
  • Conducting site inspections to verify compliance with standards and specifications
  • Reporting non-conformities and coordinating the production of as-built drawings and O&M manuals at project completion
  • Coordinating client training with MEP contractors at practical completion
  • Understanding legal, practical, and regulatory responsibilities, especially regarding Health & Safety
  • Ensuring MEP sub-contractors submit safety statements and site-specific method statements before work begins
  • Coordinating with the safety department and ensuring safety policies are followed during meetings and work practices
  • Addressing unsafe work practices promptly and reporting to relevant authorities
  • Reviewing and coordinating provisions within site-specific method statements for MEP works
  • Assisting in the compilation of the project’s safety file

Strong time management, communication skills, computer literacy, and report-writing abilities are essential for this role.
