Job summary

L.J.B & Co. Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to lead MEP activities on major Data Centre projects in Slough. The role bridges design development and site delivery, coordinating MEP packages with design consultants and contractors.

You will review designs, ensure buildability and drive technical compliance across the construction phases, supporting testing, commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP Construction Manager or similar.
• Strong Data Centre / Mission Critical experience.
• Excellent understanding of MEP design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEP construction activities across major Data Centre projects.
• Provide technical input throughout design and construction phases.
• Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings and documentation.
• Ensure designs are practical, buildable and aligned with construction requirements.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and specialist MEP packages.
• Work closely with design consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and technical compliance.
• Identify and resolve design and construction issues.
• Review technical submissions, RFIs, drawings and design changes.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with CSA and other project disciplines.
• Attend design and construction coordination meetings.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and programme.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.

MEP Construction Manager - Data Centres

Location: Slough, UK

Sector: Data Centres / Mission Critical / Consultancy

Contract: 1 Year - Ongoing

Rate: £525-£550 per day

We are currently working with a leading specialist consultancy delivering major Data Centre and Mission Critical projects and are looking for an experienced MEP Construction Manager with strong design experience to join their team.

This is a great opportunity to work with a highly experienced consultancy involved in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex Data Centre projects, working alongside major contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both MEP design and construction, with the ability to bridge the gap between design development and site delivery.

• Proven experience as an MEP Construction Manager, MEP Manager, MEP Project Manager or similar.
• Strong Data Centre / Mission Critical experience.
• Excellent understanding of MEP design and construction.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating MEP designs and technical drawings.
• Strong Mechanical and electrical coordination knowledge.
• Consultancy, main contractor or specialist MEP contractor background.
