Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled MEP CAD Technician in Billericay to produce precise 2D drawings in AutoCAD LT and help shape CAD standards. You will work with mechanical, electrical and public health engineers on live projects, while driving templates, libraries and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience using AutoCAD, ideally including AutoCAD LT, within an MEP environment.
• Experience creating, editing and maintaining standard and dynamic AutoCAD blocks.
• Understanding of block attributes, visibility states and actions.
• Experience developing or maintaining CAD standards, templates, layers and libraries.
• Ability to read technical drawings and identify coordination issues.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D MEP drawings using AutoCAD LT for live projects.
• Develop and maintain CAD templates, title blocks, layers and standards.
• Create and manage static and dynamic AutoCAD blocks and libraries.
• Coordinate drawing information with architectural and structural teams.
• Perform quality checks on drawings for layers, legends and references.
• Support automation and AI-driven workflows to improve production.
• Assist with site measurements and related CAD records when required.
