Job summary

Bangor University invites applications for a part-time Project Officer in the Reaching Wider Project. You will help recruit, deliver and promote a national mentoring programme for 2026-2027, using an established online mentoring platform.

The post is fixed-term until 31 July 2027, on campus at Bangor or Wrexham with hybrid working (two days remote). Welsh language skills are desirable, and experience in outreach/mentoring within education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educated to 2 AS Levels or 1 A level or NVQ level 4 in a relevant subject area.
• Hold a professional qualification or accreditation relevant to the role.
• Experience of outreach engagement or mentoring programmes with Reaching Wider target cohorts.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, delivering and promoting a national mentoring programme for the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Working on the Reaching Wider mentoring project using an existing online platform.
